Perfect for ages 12 M + This Activity Builds:

Independence

A child who can see the sequence stops waiting to be told. Handing over the cards hands over the day.

Order

Morning, afternoon, and evening are color-coded, so even a pre-reader can sort the whole day and know where they are in it.

Concentration

One card, one task, nothing else competing. A child finishes what they start because nothing is asking for attention at the same time.

Confidence

Placing a finished card down is visible proof. A child who can see what they have done builds the belief that they are capable.

45 cards, covering the whole day

→ 45 Routine cards color-coded by time of day: morning in yellow, afternoon in red, evening in blue.
→ Bonus blank "Make Your Own" cards, so the routines that are only yours get a card too.
→ A Daily Routine Chart, 8 x 11.5, color-coded to match.
→ Number cards 1-2-3 for sequencing the order of the day.
→ Cards for children who go to school are marked with a school bus. Cards for homeschooling families are marked with a house. Use the set that is yours and skip the rest.

Children Need Order

Between two and four, a child has an inner need for order: for consistency, repetition, and predictability. When the environment around them becomes disordered, chaos follows.

What often looks like a tantrum is a child who cannot yet say this isn't in the right order.
An established routine isn't a nice-to-have. It's what keeps a child in harmony with something they already need, with the least possible disruption.

In a Montessori environment, there is no assigned homework.

How to display them

Print, cut, laminate. Then pick what fits your home:
→ Peg them to a string or jute twine with clothespins, at your child's height.
→ Velcro dots on a chart, so a finished card gets moved across.
→ Print a second set if you want morning and evening in different rooms.
